Sunday not so fun day

I woke up with the same scratchy feeling in my throat that I had yesterday! Oh not so fun. Thinking about one more week until Spring Break!! The kiddos are ready and so am I. Tomorrow being St. Patricks day, I think we will write about "If I were a Leprechaun…" This should be interesting to see what they come up with. So instead of the usual read aloud on Friday's I tried something new.  I am choosing 3 students each Friday to read to the class a book of their choice. Of course the first time a kiddo choose Dr. Seuss and it went way too long. So I limit the time they can read. They are so excited to do this and it's really been an incentive to get them to read more. They have to practice their book at home each night before Friday. Anyway that's about it for today. Hope your week is productive!
